This is a fantastic initiative to bridge the gap between learning to sail and heading out to race in the big brown, windy, choppy swamp. Sailors will be escorted just out of the harbour for a short race and will be brought back in again. Mum and dad can sit back in the cafe and read the Saturday papers while sipping their short black. (Opti parents don’t do lattés)! All finished by 11:30am.

Give the kids a laugh. Let them watch mum and dad race an RQYS pacer around a short course on Saturday morning against other couples. Then the kids can spend the drive home telling mum and dad how they got buried at the start, failed to cover and went past the layline on the top mark and……..
